Tasting Notes

Visually the wine possesses a deep garnet hue with velvet accents meet the edge of the glass. The nose contains complex fruit interplays of red currant, dark cherry, bramble, spicy vanilla with an interplay of red ginger, cardamom and cinnamon. On the pallet, the opulent fruit is rounded out with graphite, violets, white flowers and a harbinger of anise and vanilla. Soft, big mouth coating texture, silky and voluptuous at mid-palate, with impeccable balance and an exceptionally long finish. 2011 Liar’s Poker is characterized from the 2010 Vintage by being more round and juicy whereas the 2010 has more structured tannins.
