Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon
2013
The 2013 Liar’s Poker Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from select vineyards in the highly acclaimed Napa Valley. This wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon peppered with Merlot and Petite Verdot to round out the blend. Winemaker, Steve Matthiasson, is one of the most highly acclaimed winemakers in his generation, nominated for a James Beard award for excellence in winemaking five years in a row. Steve hand selected vineyard sites throughout the Napa Valley for this exclusive blend. The grapes were harvested with a wonderful level of freshness, vividly preserved flavors and aged in the finest new oak barrels. This is our rarest and most exclusive wine. 2013 was hailed as a perfect growing season in the Napa Valley and a very highly praised vintage.
Tasting Notes
Bright, velvety ruby red color unfolds into
aromas of savory meat, tobacco and black stone fruits. The
concentration is rich, intense and radiant, with notes of
stewed plum, cocoa and aged leather yet there is plenty of
minerality underpinning the fruit. Finishes with serious,
building tannins and outstanding energy and length.
